It is unknown what exactly Black Adam’s relations with the JSA will be like in the film. In the Black Adam trailer, he is fighting the JSA, but he may later join them, considering he did so in the comic books. The JSA was one of DC’s first superhero teams, making its debut long before the Justice League. The members of the JSA in Black Adam will include Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), and Atom Smasher (Centineo). A nifty little package reprinting two stories from Hulk magazine, plus a new Moon Knight gallery by Bill Sienkiewicz. They’ve never stuck but bless ’em for trying! Oh, and behind that Rudy Nebres cover? Interior art by Steve Ditko! I have always had a soft spot for the Archie superheroes. An anniversary issue with Denny O’Neil chronicling a Hell’s Kitchen showdown between Hornhead and Bullseye - in the ring where Matt’s dad fought. That’s a great Mike Machlan/Jerry Ordway cover, featuring a rare All-Stars appearance from Robin the Boy Wonder.ĭan adds: This is probably my favorite All-Star Squadron cover, for precisely for the reason Scott states.ĭaredevil #200, Marvel.

It was rerun season on TV and the top Nielsen winners were The Jeffersons, Newhart and One Day at a Time, which I don’t think I realized was still on the air by that time. Also in theaters was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen - the noxious Jaws 3-D, which was all-around horrible. The lowbrow comedy classic National Lampoon’s Vacation led the box office. So, let’s set the scene: Ronald Reagan was in his first presidential term.
